July 13 -August 4, 2020

Please complete this short screening survey to determine your eligibility.

Eligibility

People with disabilities who are over the age of 18 and live in New York City are eligible to participate in this study. Participants will be screened based on additional demographic criteria. You will need access to a computer or smartphone with internet to participate.

Purpose

The purpose of the study is to test the learning outcomes of an online training program about public transportation in New York City. The goal is to see how training changes perceptions of public transportation, awareness of accessible transportation options, knowledge of financial supports, and the use of navigation tools. Your participation may help improve informational resources and educational support for using public transportation.

Payment for Participation

Selected participants will be compensated $65 total for their participation in all phases of the study described above under the “Procedures” and “Time Commitment” sections. Participants will receive $40 for completing the initial survey and the online training and $10 for the follow-up survey administered after the training is complete (up to $50 sent as one payment). The remaining $15 payment will be made after completion of the final survey several months after the training course and follow-up survey (planned for November 2020).

Projected enrollment

A maximum of 100 participants will be enrolled in the study.
