1) NYC Travel and Technology Training Pilot Study

Purpose: to test the influence of a training and resource guide with information about accessible public transportation, navigation tools, financial supports, and disability rights. The study will take place over the course of several months. The goal is to see if there are any changes in travel behaviors or attitudes related to daily travel and mobile technology as a result of the training.

Eligibility: People in New York City who receive social security benefits like social security disability insurance (SSDI) or supplemental security income (SSI) and will be eligible for this paid study.

Participant incentive: $100.

Projected enrollment: 100 participants.

Projected recruitment start date: August 1, 2019

2) Our Mobility Comparison Study

Purpose: To collect travel diaries and location history of people with and without disabilities living in New York City to compare travel behaviors and experiences (see pilot study details for more information).

Eligibility: Participants will be selected based on several demographic criteria from a screening survey. An equal number of disabled and nondisabled participants will be selected.

Participant incentive: $25.

Projected enrollment: 200 participants.

Projected recruitment start date: August 1, 2019
